VOW Fly Company Limited Warranty and Repair Policy
All VOW Fly Company rods have a One Year Limited Warranty for the original owner at the sole and absolute discretion of VOW Fly Company. This One Year Limited Warranty provides that VOW Fly Company will repair or replace, rods damaged due to faulty workmanship or manufacturing defects within one year of purchase (referenced throughout and as more detailed below, the “One Year Limited Warranty”). This One Year Limited Warranty does not cover taxes and shipping charges. Please see below for more details regarding the requirements to submit a Warranty Claim. Note that rods shipped outside the continental U.S. will result in increased shipping costs.
All VOW Fly Company rods have an extended Five Year Limited Warranty for the original owner, at the sole and absolute discretion of VOW Fly Company, that provides for certain repairs at a discounted price. This Five Year Limited Warranty provides that after one year from the date of purchase and up to five years from the date of purchase, VOW Fly Company will repair or replace, for a discounted price, rods damaged due to faulty workmanship or manufacturing defects as more fully detailed below (referenced throughout and as more detailed below, the “Five Year Limited Warranty”). More specifically, if a rod is determined by VOW Fly Company in its sole discretion to fall under the Five Year Warranty, we will replace a section or piece of the rod for $50.00 per section or piece (each rod contains 4 pieces or sections) plus shipping costs or provide a full rod replacement for $200.00 plus shipping costs. This Five Year Limited Warranty does not cover taxes and shipping charges. Please see below for more details regarding the requirements to submit a Warranty Claim. Note that rods shipped outside the continental U.S. will result in increased shipping costs.
The One Year Limited Warranty and the Five Year Limited Warranty are collectively referenced throughout as the “Limited Warranty” and any claim made by you under the Limited Warranty is referenced as a “Warranty Claim”.
VOW Fly Company reserves the right to update and change this Limited Warranty and Repair Policy at any time. We understand that every situation is unique and strive to stand by our products and guarantee quality, performance, and reliability. Manufacturing defects or quality control issues can also arise and although this is rare, we want to make sure we do what we can to make it right and get you back on the water.
Please note that all Warranty Claims and repair requests are processed at our sole discretion. Rods that are determined by us not to be repairable will be discarded unless expressly requested in writing otherwise before the Warranty Claim or repair is processed. Any return shipping fees on cancelled or declined Warranty Claims or repair requests are your responsibility.
What’s Not Covered:
Rods that are determined to be damaged by abuse or neglect, either by physical or environmental factors (excessive wear and tear beyond normal use, saltwater corrosion, environmental damage, damage by vehicles, and other non-fishing causes, etc.) are not covered by our Limited Warranty. Our Limited Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, theft, fire, abuse, accidental damage, or intentional breakage. Our Limited Warranty does not cover rods that have been modified or customized after purchase and any such modification or customization voids the Limited Warranty.
In addition, wear and tear and cosmetic issues caused by excessive abrasions, vehicular accidents, blatant misuse, extended sun exposure, saltwater, or other environmental factors are not covered by our Limited Warranty. This includes damages to hardware and cork. We do not cover damage and degradation from being left in the sun, saltwater, or other elements. We do not cover excessive abrasions from not being properly covered during travel. We do not cover any similar situations where excessive ongoing damage is accumulated, leading to a rod failure. In addition, lost rods, lost sections or pieces, theft, or other issues where the rod or any parts of the rod are no longer in your possession are not covered under the Limited Warranty unless determined by us to be because of a manufacturing defect-related failure. If it is determined in our sole discretion that your rod failed due to neglect or because of uncovered physical or environmental factors, it will be returned to you at your expense.
This Limited Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the rod and does not cover incidental, indirect, or consequential damages due to the failure of the rod unless applicable state law requires otherwise. This disclaimer and exclusion shall apply even if this Limited Warranty fails in its essential purpose.
Please note that defects are extremely rare, and a very small percentage of our Warranty Claims are due to a manufacturing defect. We will inspect your rod for manufacturing defects, and we will evaluate when your rod arrives whether the issue falls under our Limited Warranty.
Discontinued Rods:
If you have a discontinued rod that is not repairable, and your issue is determined to be covered under our Limited Warranty, you may be eligible to purchase a new equivalent model at a discount. This service is offered on a case-by-case basis and at the sole discretion of VOW Fly Company. We make no guarantees of being able to replace a section or entire rod for any model that has been discontinued at the time your Warranty Claim.
We do not offer an exchange service for claims made under our Limited Warranty. You will receive back the model you sent in for service. In the rare instance where you are using a discontinued model that is not repairable, we will substitute the closest current model as your replacement.

Supply Shortage Notice for Warranty and Repair Customers:
Due to issues entirely out of our control, we are experiencing supply chain delays. Expect responses may take up to a week after submission and receipt of your Warranty Claim. You will not be contacted by us until we have begun the Warranty Claim review process.
